MITIE’s healthcare cleaning work is shown best by what we do at Hull, one of the largest trusts in the country. The Trust consists of three large hospitals which between them treat tens of thousands of patients a year. We have over 600 MITIE people spread across the Trust, most of whom are involved in cleaning domestic services in the hospitals.

Key to our success is our approach of ‘partnership, people and processes’ which has seen us work very closely with the Trust management team.
Our cleaning people are seen as crucial members of the ward team and uniquely, we have trained all of our people to NVQ level I or II in cleaning and domestic services.
We are at the forefront of developing and trialling new technologies to get the best outcome in the wards, common areas and theatres.
